Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actress. Alison Doody made her film debut as an actress and Bond actress on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Photographer approached Doody Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to the profession of commercial modeling. Doody did not shy away from glamour or sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting profession. Once she caught the attention of the director of casting in a James Bond movie, she participated of A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody made an appearance on John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Doody was just 18 years old at the time of her appearance in the Bond part. As of today she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias In his dream in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead role. It took place in 1988 alongside Dawn French, John Hurt and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took perhaps her most well-known role in her career as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery her agent as well as partner on the set of Major League II. She had been chosen as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd, who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody came back to acting in 2003, playing a small role as a character in the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. In 2004, she starred alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody filming a character in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. Later, she appeared as a guest in the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of horror classic The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. In 2011, she started the first season of two on E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on November 21, 2018.
