Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey, an African-American author, is more well-known for her ex-wife comedian and host Steve Harvey. Marcia Harvey leads a quiet life, avoiding the attention of the media. Although Steve hadn't even reached anywhere near the level of success which he is enjoying now, they were married for fourteen years. There have been rumors in Hollywood regarding the causes of their split. Some believe that Steve Harvey was cheating, while some blame him for choosing comedy as his career. Steve Harvey separated from his two daughters while she was pregnant with their third baby, causing her to be devastated. Her generosity has brought joy to her children. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They did not have a lot of money. She started her career working at Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. She met Steve a few years later at a friend's wedding event. The two met and fell in love. They were married in the year 1980. Steve was employed as an insurance salesman that time and the couple were blessed with twin daughters in 1982. Steve began to feel disillusioned at work and began to consider a career in entertainment. He wanted to become comedian stand-up. Marcia and Steve were in a lot of tension and later, reports suggested that they were starting to separate. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed in large part from her marriage to Steve Harvey, and their divorce. Although the facts leading to their divorce in 1994 are mostly kept private however, it is clear that Marcia was pregnant with their third child when everything went downhill. Marcia was divorced in 1993. After her divorce and Steve Harvey's refusal to pay alimony or child support, Marcia was forced to seek legal help.
