Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
August 26, 2002 is an American musician and singer. The song he released in
2019 "Ransom", was his first major hit. It peaked at number 4 in the
Billboard Hot 100. The song was part of the mixtape he released in his debut
"We Love You Tecca" (2019) which peaked at fourth place on the US
Billboard 200. It also contained singles Love Me and Did It Again. The album he
released as his debut"Virgo world" (2020), debuted at the top of the
Billboard 200 at number 10. It contained the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting
songs "Dolly" and "When You Down". The second mixtape
"We Love You Tecca 2", was released in August 2021. It featured
"Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe
was born on the 26th of August, 2002, in the Queens area in New York City to
Jamaican immigrants. He was raised in the Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of
Queens however, he later moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Since his early
years, Sharpe had aspirations of playing in the NBA However, around 12 years
old Sharpe began to turn his attention to pursuing a career in music. Sharpe
graduated from Lawrence High School. Tecca, nine years old at the time, was
rapping with the other students with his Xbox to record. One of their tracks
about diss was posted to SoundCloud many years ago however it has since been
deleted. In the beginning that he wasn't making any plans to pursue music a
profession and instead dreamed of becoming an NBA superstar. Through his middle
school years however, he started to become bored with basketball and started
taking music seriously. His first single, "Tectri", which became
popular in early 2017 was produced with Lil Gummybear and released in
collaboration. Lil Gummybear. The other tracks that he had in the beginning
include "Callin". Tecca's career took off one year later after the
success of his single "Ransom" and was uploaded to Cole Bennett’s
Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel in May 22nd, 2019. It reached the top spot at
4 in the Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been played over 900,000,000 times on
Spotify and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
