Emma Stone
Emily Jean Stone, also known as Emma was
born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She was married to Krista Jean
Stone (nee Yeager), who is a housewife, and Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a
company for contracting founder and chief executive officer). Stone is of
Swedish, German & British Isles descent. Stone began her acting career
in her early years as an Valley Youth Theatre member in Phoenix, Arizona. She
first appeared on stage in the play of Kenneth Grahame "The Wind in the
Willows." As a teenager Stone performed in of numerous productions until
she decided to pursue a career in acting. The official narrative is that she
created a PowerPoint presentation, backed by Madonna's "Hollywood"
and titled "Project Hollywood", in an attempt to persuade her parents
to allow her to drop out of school and move to Los Angeles. After the pitch was
accepted, she and her mother moved to LA. She continued to study at home while
auditioning. Her TV breakthrough when she was awarded the part of Laurie Partridge
in the VH1 reality show based on a talent show In Search of the Partridge
Family (2004) that led to a number of small TV roles in the following years.
After a string of successful performances she was offered the chance to play
Jules in Superbad (2007). Her popularity as Olive was a highlight of her role
in Easy A (2010) followed by a string more roles. She attended Xavier College
Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona. While she is a redhead, the hair color that is
natural to her hair is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her
hair color to Superbad (2007) and she liked it so much that she chose to keep
the color. She convinced her parents to allow her to move to Hollywood at the
age of 15 by creating a PowerPoint presentation with the title, Project
Hollywood. She started acting when she was 11 years old at Phoenix's Valley
Youth Theatre. Here she performed on 16 stages, and took part in the theatre's
comedy improv group. Caylee Cowan was also a part of the Valley Youth Theatre.
